Thistle was awarded $50,000 from the City of Boulder. The money will be used to contract to provide inclusive resident engagement and empowerment, support for resident associations, and increased access to community resources for the eight mobile home communities in the immediate Boulder area.

Along with this, Thistle staff will help inform city policy regarding manufactured home community issues and regulations, and help gather best practices for the state legislative agenda.

This work is a continuation of past efforts and Mary Duvall, CEO of Thistle, said she expects the work to continue over the next year.

“Our role now is to continue to work with the board and strengthen them,” she said.

The intent of the work is to strengthen communication between residents, board members and park owners, Duvall said. Meetings to kick off the work will begin this month.
