CONCORD, N.H. — ROC USA® is pleased to announce that Lisa Spiek has joined the social venture as the new Training and Continuous Learning Program Operations Director.
“We are delighted to have Lisa joining our team as the leader of operations in Training and Continuous Learning,” said Colleen Lindecker, Executive Vice President of Training and Continuous Learning. “Her extensive background in operational logistics for large scale online training and educational programs will be a wonderful asset to our ability to provide a wide range of online, hybrid, and in-person training and educational programs for ROC USA staff, affiliates and partners, and ROC Leaders and Members.”
Spiek will be instrumental in building ROC USA’s new national training and learning program. As a key leader on the Training and Continuous Learning team, Spiek will focus on the operational and technological aspects of training and learning courses, content, and events both live and online.
Spiek brings a wealth of experience in course development to the role, having worked at Colorado Technical University (CTU) for seven years in various positions. In her most recent position as faculty development specialist, she led the development and roll out of mandatory online training for faculty and developed and administered quarterly teaching certification courses for newly hired faculty. Spiek was also responsible for planning and facilitating the University-wide annual summit for more than 300 remote and on-campus faculty.
“I’m excited to be joining ROC USA’s Training and Continuous Learning team and serve its mission,” Spiek said.
Prior to her time at CTU, Spiek worked as a financial aid counselor at Roosevelt University and the Illinois Institute of Art. She continues to serve as an online adjunct faculty member at CTU.
Spiek graduated from the College of Saint Benedict in 2003 and earned a Master of Education in Instructional Design and Technology from American InterContinental University in 2016. She lives in Fox River Grove, Ill.
