DUVALL, Wash. — A resident-owned community in Washington was highlighted as a source of secure and affordable housing in a recent story on National Public Radio.

Duvall Riverside Village’s success was celebrated in a story from Marketplace. Listen to the piece here.

The co-op, which formed in 2012, was helped by Northwest Cooperative Development Center and financed by ROC USA®  Capital in partnership with the Washington Housing Finance Commission.

The community was applauded as an example of what homeowners working together in a co-op can accomplish by Cathy Poetschat, a real estate agent in Washington. ROC USA President Paul wrote about it in a blog post back in January.
