Brent Malloy joined ROC USA as Controller in September 2026. He brings more than 15 years of finance and accounting experience, including more than eight years working with mission-driven nonprofit CDFIs focused on affordable housing and microfinance for underserved communities.
Prior to joining ROC USA, Brent served as Controller at Housing Trust Silicon Valley, a nonprofit CDFI financing affordable housing throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. He led the organization’s accounting and loan servicing teams, systems administration, and Board committee reporting. Throughout his career, Brent has led systems implementations to improve organizational efficiency and strengthen financial operations. He enjoys working with mission-driven organizations and believes nonprofits play a crucial role in filling gaps in communities, in affordable housing, access to capital, and community development.
Brent is a California-licensed CPA and holds a Certificate of Advanced Accounting Proficiency from Santa Clara University. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of California, San Diego.
Brent lives with his wife in San Jose and outside of work, enjoys lap swimming, working out, hiking the Redwoods, and visiting his son and daughter in New York.
