Julie Massa

Relationship Manager

Julie Massa joined ROC USA as Network Collaboration and Training Manager in May 2020 and in January 2022 was hired as a Relationship Manager on the Cooperative Solutions team. Julie previously worked in the ROC USA Network for nine years at the CASA of Oregon, as a Lead and Pre-Purchase Technical Assistance Provider.

Julie guides, coaches and links TAs to training resources, evaluates CTAP business plans, facilitates, records, promotes and curates the weekly Water Cooler calls, meets with TA Providers and ROC Boards to help them incorporate best practices tailored to their individual ROCs, and provides regional training to CTAPs and ROCs on the national level through the Network Convening and other venues.

Julie has a bachelor’s degree in Human Ecology and has completed graduate level nonprofit management, facilitation and community collaboration courses at Portland State University in Oregon. In 2015, Julie received a Certificate of Completion from Harvard Kennedy School for the Leadership, Organizing, and Action Course with Professor Marshall Ganz. Ganz provided organizing support and guidance to Cesar Chavez in his successful effort to unionize California’s farm workers.

Outside of ROC USA, Julie enjoys individual and group mosaic art projects and touring remote islands to view marine mammals and seabirds.

She lives in Oregon.
