Kiernan Gorton

Cooperative Coordinator: TA Specialist

Kiernan Gorton joined ROC USA as cooperative coordinator: technical assistance specialist in June 2024.

She works with ROCs and potential ROCs in New York, assisting them through the pre- and post-purchase phases or resident ownership.

Gorton has a wealth of experience in community health, working with all ages and populations throughout New York. She has been working in the community health space with at risk-populations in contract management, program management and community organizing for most of her career.

Gorton graduated from State University at New York Cortland with a bachelor’s degree in physical education and from West Virginia University with a master’s degree in school health education and community health education. She has worked for the New York State Department of Health and for multiple nonprofits in New York, focusing on community health.

Outside of work, Gorton enjoys gardening, being outdoors and spending time with her husband, two sons and their cat, Maggie.
