Nicole Manglona joins ROC USA with a career rooted in service and a commitment to working alongside communities and people facing barriers to resources and opportunity. Her background includes education, social services, nonprofit work, community organizing and local government, experiences that have shaped how she approaches community-centered work.
Most recently, Nicole served as Program Manager for the Community Services division within Charleston County Community Development and Revitalization, where she managed grant-funded initiatives and developed inaugural programs and projects from the ground up. Her experience includes grant management, housing and community development, and creating responsive solutions around local needs. Much of her work has involved turning community priorities into new initiatives while navigating government processes, public funding requirements and partnerships with nonprofit and community organizations.
Nicole cares deeply about equitable access to resources and advancing fair, equitable housing opportunities. She believes strong community work starts with listening to the people it is intended to serve, and her experience in community organizing and direct service continues to shape how she approaches partnership, problem-solving and service.
Nicole holds an MPA from the College of Charleston and a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Spanish from the University of Notre Dame. She is fluent in Spanish, has family roots in Colombia and enjoys learning new languages and the connections that language and culture can create.
Nicole lives in Charleston, South Carolina, with her family and embraces the happy chaos that comes with a house full of kids and dogs. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, cooking and learning new things.
