Tom Porter joined ROC USA in 2026 as the Acquisitions Project Manager with ROC USA Direct, supporting residents of manufactured home communities through the pre-purchase process as they form resident-owned cooperatives, secure financing, and navigate the steps to purchase their communities.
He brings 15+ years of experience in real estate transactions and project management, with strengths in contract-to-close coordination, due diligence planning, stakeholder communication, and keeping complex timelines and deliverables on track.
Tom is passionate about this work because it’s about building communities. Earlier in his career, he supported community building through public education—leading charter school facilities projects from concept through acquisition, financing, and occupancy. He now looks forward to applying that experience to housing and homeownership, helping residents build long-term stability through resident ownership.
Tom holds a Master of Nonprofit Administration from the University of San Francisco and a B.S. in Business Administration from San Francisco State University. He is a Florida resident and enjoys spending time in Washington, D.C. and Rehoboth Beach, Delaware with his partner and daughter.
