In the news …

May 16, 2013

This is a really interesting piece of radio journalism. It’s a reflection on how people look at “trailer parks” by a journalist who spent the time to get to know homeowners and communities.

I love that she made the fundamental weakness of investor-owned communities clear – lack of control. And, I would have loved a ROC plug right there but at least the print piece presented resident ownership as an alternative.

Check it out both the short radio interview and link to the print piece here.

What do you think? Do you think affordable, small home living is an important source of housing for both families and retirees? I do! I just want to make it a more secure and truly affordable option!

Check out the NHPR piece that ran nationally on NPR last spring about ROC USA. The exposure was terrific and it helped spread the word better than we’d hoped.
