The Need

For decades, homeowners in manufactured home communities have lived with the burdens of the unfair stigma associated with their homes and neighborhoods. Most of this stems from the stereotypes portrayed in television, movies and other mass media. Knocking down that stigma, particularly among policymakers and elected officials in a position to direct resources to support resident ownership, is a critical step toward helping secure and expand the benefits of ROC living at an even greater scale.  

The Ask

Send a letter to your Congressional delegation inviting them or their staffs to visit your ROC. Give them a tour of your community and introduce them to some of your neighbors. Show them how living in a ROC is helping preserve affordability at a time when reasonably priced housing is in such short supply. Share with them your ROC’s vision for the future and what you and your neighbors could do with access to additional resources.
