2 ROCs land Better Together Grants

Posted by Mike Bullard August 27, 2014

Two resident-owned manufactured home communities have won neighborhood improvement grants that will fund projects designed to improve the lives of the homeowners who live there.

Pine Tree Village Residents Association of Carver, Mass., and Pine Hill Homeowners Cooperative, Inc., of Conway, N.H., each landed a $2,000 Better Together Grant from ROC USA, LLC. The annual grant program was developed by resident-owned community (ROC) leaders at the 2011 Community Leadership Institute. NeighborWorks® America provided that CLI class with $4,000 in funding to work on a project. Those leaders designed the Better Together grant program, and ROC USA has supplied funding in the succeeding years.
