CONCORD, N.H. — ROC USA® is pleased to announce that Kevin Porter has been promoted to Vice President of Loan Originations. He has previously served as a Loan Officer since February 2015.
“Kevin is a natural fit for the position of Vice President of Loan Originations as ROC USA and ROC USA® Capital both grow over the next few years because of his depth and breadth of lending experience since joining ROC USA more than six years and his demonstrated ability to lead the loan underwriting and closing process with multiple partners in the field,” said Michael Sloss, Managing Director, ROC USA Capital. “Kevin’s thoughtful and unflappable workplace style also makes him uniquely able to mentor new ROC USA Capital employees who will be joining the lending team over the next few years.”
Porter will be instrumental in underwriting and closing complex loans. He is excited to grow his team to continue to make quality resident ownership viable and expand economic opportunities for homeowners in manufactured home communities in new and existing markets for ROC USA.
“On the loan originations side, we’ve reached a point where we need additional capacity. Having another lender on board, particularly one who supports communities in the Western U.S., will allow us to meet the growing demand that we expect to see,” Porter said. “Oftentimes MHC purchase transactions require us to be nimble and to respond quickly and creatively. I’m looking forward to growing our team so that we can continue to make quality resident ownership viable and expand economic opportunities for homeowners in manufactured home communities in new and existing markets for ROC USA.”
Kevin has more than 15 years of real estate finance experience, including single-family, multi-family and energy efficiency lending. Prior to joining ROC USA Capital, Kevin worked for two community development financial institutions (CDFIs) in Connecticut and a community development credit union in the Bronx, N.Y. As VP of Loan Originations, Kevin manages all aspects of ROC USA Capital’s loan origination during the pre- and post-purchase process.
Kevin holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Bates College and a master’s degree in economics, with a focus on community development, from the New School for Social Research. Kevin is passionate about clean energy and formerly served on the Board of Directors of Clean Energy NH.
