Magazine article profiles CASA of Oregon’s work

Posted by Mike Bullard October 9, 2014

Four Oregon ROCs and their TA provider, CASA of Oregon, are highlighted in the current issue of Rural Cooperatives, a magazine of the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

Chelsea Catto, manufactured housing cooperative development director at CASA, wrote an article that illustrates the affordability, stability and security of ROC life. The piece in the September/October issue is sure to bring plenty of attention to the work of CASA and ROC USA and the other seven TA providers. And that can only help us all bring the spotlight to the work of making resident ownership viable from coast to coast.

Chelsea interviewed several community leaders, including Mary Lou Fitzgerald (pictured here with Dick Martin at Green Pastures Senior Cooperative in Redmond, Ore.) and Dan Fountain, president of Vida Lea Community Cooperative in Leaburg, Ore.
