CONCORD, N.H.—The ROC Association is pleased to announce that it is accepting applications for 2022 Better Together Grants from June 20th to July 24th.
Applications are due by July 24th, and grant recipients will be notified by August 1st. Projects must be completed by June 30, 2023.
The grant project must be coordinated by at least two association members who do not serve on the Board of Directors.
Individual grants are available up to $2,000 with a total of $30,000 available. Any Resident Owned Community with a current or past technical assistance contract with a ROC USA® Network Certified TA Provider is eligible to apply. Recipients of last year’s grants are not eligible for this year’s funding.
The ROC Association sponsors three types of Better Together grants: Community Projects, Rebranding Projects, and Member Engagement and Leadership Development Projects.
Community projects should meet a compelling community need. Examples include security lighting, safety fencing, bus shelters, playgrounds, speed bumps, or repairs to a community center. Community projects should benefit the ROC in a visible way.
Rebranding projects should present a new image to the Membership and public about the ROC. This can include legal name changes or new “doing business as” names, new signage, new letterhead and collateral material, or a new website or website redesign.
New in 2022, Member Engagement and Leadership Development Project grants are available to ROCs who are looking to expand Member engagement and develop new community leaders. ROCs could use funds to support Board communication strategies such as technology for messaging, virtual meetings, or to engage members through committees or special project teams, or to fund other leadership development projects.
Applications can be submitted online starting on June 20th or by downloading a printable application in either English or Spanish.
