ROC USA Hires Veteran Storyteller for Digital Media Post

CONCORD, N.H. — ROC USA® is pleased to announce the hiring of Sammi Chickering as the organization’s new digital media specialist. Chickering will manage the ROC USA social media platforms and create content for ROC USA’s websites.

“I’m thrilled to join the ROC USA team,” said Chickering. “I’m excited to help promote the amazing work the organization does to support communities and residents nationwide, and I can’t wait to get started.”

Chickering’s efforts will support the communications team, which is led by Mike Bullard, communications and marketing manager.

“Sammi brings a decade of experience and expertise with her that will benefit ROC USA’s affiliates a well as the communities and community Members we serve,” Bullard said. “I’m sure it won’t take long for website users and social media followers to notice the difference.”

Prior to joining ROC USA, Chickering worked in communications for collegiate athletics for eight years where she told the stories of hundreds of student-athletes in digital and print. She also spent a year in a digital marketing role for a New Hampshire startup business.

Chickering spent two years at nearby New England College, where she worked as the athletics communications coordinator. In that role, Chickering covered the successes of 18 varsity athletic programs and 400 student-athletes. Her duties included writing press releases about athletic events, designing graphics for social media, and working with local and national media to promote student-athlete successes.

Prior to New England College, Chickering had similar roles at Anna Maria College and Norwich University. At Anna Maria, she also served as an assistant director of athletics and as the school’s senior woman administrator (SWA).

Chickering holds both a bachelor’s degree and an MBA from Southern New Hampshire University. She lives in Henniker.
