CONCORD, N.H. — ROC USA is pleased to announce that Ryan Valdez has been hired as an acquisitions associate. Valdez will assist in pipeline generation and analyze new incoming deals as well as ad hoc projects for building out department processes.
“Ryan comes to us from the for-profit real estate space where he has historically been an acquisitions and investment analyst in both the multifamily and manufactured housing space,” said Angela Romeo, vice president of acquisitions and program director for the ROC USA Direct team. “Ryan has spent his career performing underwriting, acquisition and feasibility modeling, and market research to inform credit and capital committees about the opportunities and risks with acquisition. He has successfully built out programs and processes for real estate startups and thrives in an environment where he can wear multiple hats.”
Valdez’s first job out of college was working at a large single-family rental company in Austin, Texas. He also worked in the start-up multi-family space doing acquisition work before pivoting to acquisitions in the for-profit manufactured housing and RV space. Valdez graduated from West Texas A&M University with a double bachelor’s degree in finance and management and is excited about his new position at ROC USA.
“I’ve never worked in the non-profit space before, but I’m very excited about doing good with my work,” Valdez said. “Working with manufactured home community residents in the past has really endeared to me the unique feeling of community that these neighborhoods provide, and it’ll be great to help what I think is an often invisible and underserved community.”
Outside of work, Valdez enjoys reading history, sci-fi and fantasy books, gardening and hiking.
He will work remotely from his home in suburban Austin.
