ROC USA Capital adds two to staff to meet increasing demand

CONCORD, N.H.— ROC USA® Capital Managing Director Michael Sloss is pleased to announce the expansion of his team with the hiring of Andrew Jaffe as Loan Compliance & Asset Management Officer and Chiji Eke as Investor Relations Associate.

“I am very excited to welcome both Andy and Chiji to ROC USA,” said Sloss. “Both are proven professionals in their respective disciplines. Each brings to ROC USA Capital extremely valuable experience and a personal commitment to both the financial discipline and customer service ROC USA Capital’s business model demands for continued growth and success.”

Jaffe is an experienced real estate professional with an extensive background in both residential and commercial real estate. He comes to ROC USA from Stewart Title Guaranty Company, where he worked as an underwriter and assistant vice president. He also served as a commercial loan administrator at Bank of America for seven years.

“I’m very excited about joining the ROC USA Team,” said Jaffe.

In his role with ROC USA Capital, Jaffe will manage all loan covenant compliance communications with borrowers and prepare closing binders for each loan. He will also be responsible for monitoring borrower progress on capital improvement projects, property management transitions, and assisting the ROC USA Capital team with loan modifications.

Jaffe holds a Bachelor’s degree from Towson University and a law degree from the University of Maryland School of Law.

Eke joins the ROC USA Capital staff after serving as an Investor Relations Manager at EB5 Capital located in Bethesda, Maryland, where she raised over $6 million in real estate investment through the Department of Homeland Security’s Immigrant Investor Program. She has also worked in the financial and tech industries with Morgan Stanley, Cambridge Associates and Uber.

“I am thrilled to join the ROCUSA team,” said Eke. “I am very excited to be supporting our loan fund capitalization and fundraising efforts. I look forward to learning everything and getting to know everyone.”

In her role with ROC USA Capital, Eke will assist with loan fund capitalization and fundraising. She will take an active role in balance sheet loan process management and will support ROC USA President Paul Bradley in creating and managing grant funding opportunities.

Eke holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Towson University.

ROC USA Capital has a growing portfolio of currently $250 million in loans outstanding to 88 resident-owned community (ROC) borrowers in 16 states. ROC USA Capital works closely with 10 regional nonprofits certified by ROC USA® Network as technical assistance providers, which provide pre- and post-purchase technical assistance to ROC USA Capital’s borrowers.

Both Jaffe and Eke will work remotely for the duration of the coronavirus pandemic. Once ROC USA deems in-person work safe, they will join Sloss in ROC USA’s Washington, D.C. office.
